Attention Willowbrae Residents!After a two year break we're delighted to bring back our "annual" BIG LUNCH and STREET PARTY on Sunday 5th June 2022 on Lismore Avenue from 12noon until 3.30pm (The road will be closed to traffic for the day, so apologies for any inconvenience caused by this).
Entry is FREE and you don't need to book, so just come along to this celebration for neighbours and community!
We're aiming for family friendly fun, fantastic food, home baking, and chat with your neighbours (hopefully in the sun!)
All ages welcome! If it rains, dress appropriately - there is no plan B!
Apart from food to share ... if you can bring any of the following that would be brilliant:
Tables and Chairs
Bunting – let’s make the street look festive!
Fun stuff – facepaints, outdoor games, dressing-up costumes, wigs ‘n’ hats, chalk, bubbles, hoola hoops etc.
Think picnic - bring a plate/cup and cutlery for yourself too. We want to reduce waste, and reuse and recycle as much as possible. We'd also be very grateful if you could take your recycling and rubbish home after the event too.
Any other bright ideas? Let’s have ‘em!
We'll be there from 11.15am setting-up if you want to help, otherwise pop down anytime between 12noon and 3.30pm.
The Big Lunch is the UK’s annual get-together for neighbours, feeding community spirit and helping to build stronger neighbourhoods. People are the key ingredient, helping to create a friendlier community in which we can start to share more, from conversations and ideas, to skills and resources.
