BIG GAY NIGHT is a concert series to showcase queer and trans musicians in Toronto! The events are hosted by CJ Wiley.
Shania Twink is Kate Palumbo, Dani Nash, CJ Wiley, Lydia Persaud, Christine Bougie and Maddy Wilde. We'll be making your Shania dreams come true at this very special Big Gay Night! This will be our first ever headlining show! Let's go squirrels!
Dani Nash leans into a late-'70s/early-'80s new wave sound, very reminiscent of the Cars and Tears for Fears. While queerness isn't an overt thematic element in the music, the undertones run through her lyrics.
After 10 years of hiding behind a kick, it's nice to see one of Canada's most highly sought-after drummers — backing acts like July Talk, Andy Shauf and Sarah Harmer, to name a few — standing up from her stool and taking centre stage. - Chris Middleton, Exclaim
