Big Garden Birdwatch & Sketch and Stroll at Hengrove Mounds

Spend the first part of the morning exploring the mounds and learning about birds through creative activities with Billy Colours. We'll then take part in the Big Garden Birdwatch, one of the largest citizen science projects in the world created by the RSPB over forty years go. Last year over a million people took part, counting the different birds they saw in one hour. Together we’ll do our bit to record the birds on Hengrove Mounds, from goldcrests to robins, expect the unexpected!

This session is for everyone, whether you’re a complete beginner or a birding/creative expert. Perfect for families, children and individuals who’d like to find out more about our feathered friends. Please wear sensible footwear and clothing suitable for the weather. If you have binoculars, excellent, bring them along! We'll have a small selection of binoculars available throughout the workshop.

Meet next to Hengrove Playpark, we'll then walk to Hengrove Mounds as a group. Free parking is available in front of Cineworld.
