Ijams invites you to join in the fun on June 2 for the first Big Fun Tuesday (BFT) of summer at Mead's Quarry! To kick off the summer fun, we invite everyone to come out and enjoy a night of DJ fun with Channel865 crew, dine on some killer mexican food with the El Sapito Food Truck, and enjoy a cold beverage from the Ijams Beer Garden and concession area that will be open all night.
The Appalachian Mountain Bike Club will begin their social bike ride at 6pm. The Ijams Education Staff will have an arthropod hunt happening at the kids area, River Sports Outfitters will be open for kayak and paddleboard rentals, and swimming at the quarry is always a must! There will be music bumping from the Channel865 line up that you won't want to miss.
Grab your friends and family, and come to the quarry for fresh air and fun!
No registration required--this is a free event. Open to all ages.
These events happen every first Tuesday from May-October. BFT is a night to hang with your friends, hit the trails on your mountain bike or on foot, listen to some music, enjoy a local food truck, rent a paddleboard or kayak from River Sports Outfitters, or simply enjoy a great evening!
NOTE: Big Fun Tuesdays are weather-dependent and may be canceled due to rain. Plans will be announced on this page and on the Facebook event page.
