Big Dead has developed a reputation as a group of sonic alchemists; ever changing and transforming disorder into harmony through their idiosyncratic writing and mesmerising live performances.
The band from Brisbane hurl listeners from chaos through to catharsis. Jazz, rock, and experimental music is threaded through their 3 Eps and 2019’s full length album, ‘Bone White Branches’.
Their new album ‘memoryslip’, for release late 2024, is a tome for the modern age; dejected, elusive and full of love. Lead single ‘Pure as the Wine Dark Sea’ (coming August, 2024) is a love letter to you and everyone you’ve ever loved. It highlights Big Dead's intricate and emotionally layered approach to making music - full of joy and subtle richness. ‘Pure as the Wine Dark Sea joins us soon, as Big Dead hopes to join you in cities around Australia August to October.
