You'll do a ton of scenes, on your feet the whole time, learning how to make bold choices in close quarters and how performing for a camera differs from performing for a room. We'll explore what changes when the lens finds you, why failing on purpose is the fastest way to get comfortable, and how the smallest choices land biggest on screen. Expect fast rounds, minimal lectures, no lengthy notes, and no sitting around. Everything is professionally filmed, and you'll get edited footage of yourself a few days later, reel-ready. All experience levels welcome.

Master the Game: Framework Over Guesswork
Host: Josh Krilov
Info: You're in a scene and you don't know where it's going or what to do. This workshop is about fixing that. In two hours you'll learn a simple framework for knowing exactly what your scene is about, endless moves to make, and how to build something you actually want to stay in. We'll explore how this approach generates scenes that are funny by design, not by accident, and we'll spend most of our time on stage with real-time coaching so you get the reps. Participants should have some improv experience, which is equivalent to two levels of classes.

Beyond Mad, Sad, & Glad: Using the Emotional Wheel in Your Improv Comedy
Host: Carrie Moulder
Info: Expand further than basic feelings in this two-hour workshop on playing with real emotional nuance! We'll use the emotional wheel often used in therapeutic environments to name, process, and communicate feelings and let it inspire us to create comedy that is specific and cathartic. You'll learn to find the shades between the obvious choices as well as how to build scenes around emotional opposition between characters. We'll explore how specific emotions like "wistful" or "smug" land authentically and how contrasting emotions between scene partners can generate instant humor. This workshop is helpful for improvisers who want to up their emotional game or deepen their character work. All experience levels welcome.

The Roller Coaster Experience for the Improv Audience
Host: Carly Stroud
Info: Explore the audience experience in this two-hour workshop on balancing what they want with what your team needs! No more guessing what will get a laugh. You'll learn to read the room, pace a set like a ride with real highs and lows, and make choices that serve the show as a whole, not just your moment in it. We'll explore how to build in surprise and release, when to give the audience what they're asking for and when to take them somewhere better, and how a team can work together to shape one satisfying ride instead of a string of disconnected loops. For improvisers who want to think bigger than the scene in front of them, this class will have you crafting sets that thrill, delight, and keep everyone strapped in for more! All experience levels welcome.

Catalyst offers a playful, collaborative way to connect scenes and spark story. Perfect for improvisers ready to let go of structure and lean into discovery. We'll explore how to stay rooted in the present instead of planning three moves ahead. Looking to loosen your grip and play from instinct? This class will have you noticing, reacting, and creating truthful, in-the-moment scenes. All experience levels welcome.

Making It Real: The Art of Endowments & Object Work
Host: Scott Anderson
Info: Gain confidence in building a whole world out of thin air in this two-hour workshop on endowments and object work! Because your environment is another character in your scene, you'll practice creating consistent, believable objects with your hands and body and learn how endowing your environment, your relationships, and your objects can instantly deepen what's happening. We'll explore how specificity turns a vague gesture into a real, trackable object, and how strong object work gives your scene partner something concrete to play off of. With this workshop, your physical choices will land as clearly as your verbal ones. All experience levels welcome.
🕑: 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM
Weight & Counterweight: A New Way to Understand Game
Host: Lynae LeBlanc & Josh Krilov
Info: Acquire a new understanding of how every game needs a push and a pull in this two-hour workshop on balancing your scene's momentum! In improv, games can get bogged down or speed ahead too quickly. Learn to spot the "weight" that sets your game in motion and the "counterweight" that keeps it grounded, giving your scenes shape instead of letting them spiral. We'll explore how opposing forces create the tension that makes a game satisfying instead of chaotic, and how to find your role in that balance moment to moment. For more experienced improvisers, expand your concept of game and gain more consistent understanding of how to maintain energy with this workshop. Participants should have a lose understanding of game, which is equivalent to three levels of classes.
