Tours start promptly at 11am, so please plan to arrive no later than 10:45am
Tour from 11-12 Before BCH is open to the public. They are open until 4pm
Arrive for a private guided tour before Big Cat Habitat opens to the public! Your included tour begins at 11 am and lasts approximately 1 hour unless special arrangements are made in advance.
Stay as long as you like. They close at 4pm
Demonstrations are given at 1pm (20 minutes) and 2pm (45 minutes) Please note you can not leave during the demonstration if you stay for part of it. (it distracts the animals, handlers and other guests)
Lunch at the habitat: Under the cover of picnic pavillion. Groups can bring their own bagged lunch or eat at their concession stand. Eating lunch at the habitat is completly optional, but should be decided at least a week before field trips date and conveyed to me (Jenah Victor).

Big Cat Habitat provides education to the public to foster appreciation of the animals and impart the importance of habitat preservation. Our commitment is for their lifetime, which is more than 20 years – double their normal life span in the wild.
There are 3 large indoor/outdoor housing complexes with adjoining exercise habitats, and we are continuing to expand. Each habitat has a swimming pool, toys and palm trees to provide the emotional enrichment that maintains optimal mental and physical health.

Food options: Groups can bring lunch or purchase from concessions.
3:1 ratio of student to parent for home school groups is required
Students much be chaperoned at all times including in restrooms
Facility opens to the public at 12pm
No more than 10 students in the petting zoo at one time.
Students and chaperones will be counted upon arrival and charged accordingly.
Animal Encounter add ons: You may have the opportunity to feed some animals, you will not be able to hold the animal but if the animal comes you, you can interact with it.

Pets are not allowed. Fully trained service dogs are welcome.
At this moment we have reserved 15 students and 5 Teachers.
ALL 15 students will get to feed the bears and the big cats.
Price is $10 per student and $9 per Teacher.

From the north:
I-75 to Fruitville exit 210. East (left) to right at first light on Coburn. Go to the end. Left on Palmer Blvd. Short distance to green sign on left.
From the south:
I-75 to Bee Ridge exit 207. Left ramp to first right on Cattlemen. 2 miles to right on Palmer Blvd. One mile on left to green sign at the entrance.
