In 1988, May 7 was announced before Congress as National Homebrew Day. The American Homebrewers Association (AHA) created the AHA Big Brew on the first Saturday of May as a way to celebrate National Homebrew Day.
This year, we're going back to the basics on this very-nearly-holy day. (Like, at least the 3rd most important brewing holiday of the year!) We are hosting another edition of Homebrewing 101! Have you brewed a few batches of beer and you're looking to up your game? Have you never brewed beer before and want to get started? Or heck, maybe you have no intentions of brewing your own beer, but this just kinda sounds like a good way to spend a few hours!
Learn how to brew your own craft-brew-quality beer at home, using minimal equipment and good ol' quality ingredients. We'll cover all the basics and probably let the conversation wander into details you don't really need.
