About this Event
Peace and blessings family. We are back this year with the same massive vibes, with a different name. The BIG BORO BIKE RIDE has a purpose and a mission that is ingrained in bicycle advocacy, fellowship, and overall community growth. This year will be better than ever.
On Sunday, September 7th, 2025 we will be meeting at Macombs Dam Park in the Bronx (across from Yankees Stadium) @ 8:15am. The ride is scheduled to depart at 9am sharp. This year's ride has a completely reconstructed route, and we are ending at the newly reconstructed Rainey Park in the Astoria neighborhood of Queens, N.Y.
We ask that you join us in this massive community gathering with overall safety in mind. The objective for us all is to return home safe and sound. Please adhere to the direction of leadership/organizers, and the ride mobilization team in order to optimize our ability to achieve and maintain our safety goals. Please click on the link below and acknowledge our waiver (REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. REGISTRATION CONFIRMS ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF THE WAIVER, INCLUDING ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS WITHIN). SEE WAIVER BELOW.
I want to participate in the BIG BORO BIKE RIDE taking place on Sunday, September 7th, 2025 or Rain date September 14th, 2025 (the "Activity") organized by the Century Plus Crew, Champ Cycles, Social Cycling NYC, Knight Ryders BK, Black Girls Do Bike NYC, Ridgewood Rides, Brooklyn's Cycling Family, and NYC Bike+Brew, (each an “Organizer”, and together the "Organizers"). In consideration for being permitted by the Organizers to participate in the Activity and in recognition of each Organizer’s reliance hereon, I agree to all the terms and conditions set out in this Release.
I am aware and understand that riding a bike in a group is a potentially dangerous activity and involves the risk of serious injury, disability, death, and/or property damage. NOTWITHSTANDING THE RISK, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I AM VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATING IN THE ACTIVITY WITH KNOWLEDGE OF THE DANGER INVOLVED AND HEREBY AGREE TO ACCEPT AND ASSUME ANY AND ALL RISKS OF INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING FROM MY PARTICIPATION IN THE ACTIVITY, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF ANY OF THE ORGANIZERS OR OTHERWISE.
I hereby expressly waive and release any and all claims, now known or hereafter known, against any of the Organizers, and their respective officers, directors, manager(s), employees, agents, affiliates, volunteers, successors, and assigns (collectively, "Releasees"), on account of injury, disability, death, or property damage arising out of or attributable to my participation in the Activity, whether arising out of the ordinary negligence of any of the Organizers or any Releasees or otherwise. I covenant not to make or bring any such claim against any of the Organizers or any other Releasee, and forever release and discharge the Organizers and all other Releasees from liability under such claims.
I represent that I am in good health and proper physical condition to participate in the Activity safely. I acknowledge that it is my sole responsibility to make such determination and that I am responsible for my well-being at all times while participating in the Activity.
I represent that I have the skill and ability to safely control and operate my bicycle on public roadways with vehicular traffic and in the presence of other bicycles. I agree to ride and participate to neither endanger myself nor others. I accept responsibility for the condition and adequacy of my equipment. I am familiar with and agree to abide by the NEW YORK and other relevant State Motor Vehicle Codes as they apply to bicycle operators.
I irrevocably grant and license to each of the Organizers, the right to capture and use my image, likeness, name, voice, comments or other proprietary or public rights in any broadcast, telecast, photograph, video, or audio sound recording taken in connection with the Activity, without compensation, for all purposes, including any commercial use so long as such use does not imply my endorsement of any company, product or service.
This Release constitutes the sole and entire agreement between each of the Organizers and me with respect to the subject matter contained herein and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties, both written and oral, with respect to such subject matter. If any term or provision of this Release is invalid, illegal, or unenforceable in any jurisdiction, such invalidity, illegality, or unenforceability shall not affect any other term or provision of this Release or invalidate or render unenforceable such term or provision in any other jurisdiction. This Release is binding on and shall ensure the benefit of each Organizer and me and their respective successors and assigns. All matters arising out of or relating to this Release shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision or rule. Any claim or cause of action arising under this Release may be brought only in the federal and state courts located in New York, and I hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.
BY REGISTERING FOR THIS EVENT, I AM FULLY CONFIRMING ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF THIS WAIVER. I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD ALL OF THE TERMS OF THIS RELEASE AND THAT I AM VOLUNTARILY GIVING UP SUBSTANTIAL LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE ANY AND ALL THE ORGANIZERS.
