Big Bones draws on the histories of "Wonder Rooms" curated by 16th century explorers, and is part of an ongoing study of specimens hidden in the back rooms and archives of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.
The incredible size of the world's largest mammals inspires and humbles and these images truly do capture their majestic presence.
