BIFRÖST — THE FINAL FAREWELL
Advertisement
£ 15.00 - £18.00 / Age 18 And Up (14+Accompanied)
After 11 years and countless gigs, Southampton rockers Bifrost are calling it a night and they're going out at The Brook. For their final ever show, Bifrost are bringing together a night that celebrates not only the band's incredible journey, but more than 40 years of live music from bassist and vocalist Rick Hearn. And they're bringing back a very special piece of that history.
LYNCHPIN Opening the night will be Lynchpin, Rick's former band and genuine local legends. Having been apart for more than a decade, Lynchpin are reuniting for this one-off occasion.
From 2000-2015, they were one of the busiest bands on the local circuit, playing as many as six nights a week.
There's an extra connection too: Lynchpin's guitarist Gerry Hearn, a legend on the scene, who also happens to be Rick's brother and Bifrost guitarist/vocalist Andy's former guitar teacher. Andy has strong childhood memories of watching Lynchpin, and seeing them play inspired him to eventually form a band himself.
Now, decades later, they'll share a stage one last time.
Then it's Bifrost's turn. Expect everything from their trademark rock, metal and prog to the completely unexpected. With a catalogue of over 250 songs, the final set will span 11 years of Bifrost and knowing them, probably include at least one musical curveball. Nothing is off-limits. Bifrost have never taken themselves too seriously, but they've always pushed each other musically and after 11 years together, this really is the end. No reunion. No "one more gig". This is it. Come and celebrate 11 years of Bifrost, 40+ years of Rick's live music career, the return of Lynchpin, and the people who have supported them both along the way.
Lynchpin + Bifrost. One stage. One night. One last time.
