This self-guided pub crawl in the Loop ("Landmark Lager Legends") is perfect for solo adventurers or groups of friends, both locals and tourists, looking for a fun way to explore the neighborhood's craft beer scene. This is not your typical pub crawl with large groups and a designated guide, but rather a self-guided experience designed for solo adventurers or small groups of friends. This unique experience (a delightful 1.9-mile stroll in downtown Chicago) combines urban and craft beer exploration with fun challenges and social interaction, all inspired by the German tradition of the Bierdiplom. Let your phone be the guide and turn your pub crawl into an exciting adventure with lasting memories. Don't forget to wear your best Oktoberfest attire (lederhosen encouraged)!

Here's what awaits you:

• Self-guided exploration: Discover 10 unique pubs and bars at your own pace, using the Bierdiplom web app as your guide.
• Curated beer list: Sample a variety of beer styles, from refreshing lagers to hoppy IPAs and rich stouts (drinks not included in the ticket price). Pro Tip: Ask for the smallest beer size (or tasters) available at each stop to try more craft brews (from the curated list with recommendations) and enjoy the full Bierdiplom experience responsibly.
• Landmark spotting: Encounter iconic downtown landmarks like the Willis Tower, Chicago Board of Trade Building, Daley Plaza, Chicago Theatre, The Historic Begin Route 66 Sign, Art Institute of Chicago, and Millennium Park.
• Interactive challenges: Test your beer knowledge and trivia skills with fun challenges along the way.
• Unlocking Knowledge: Become a beer expert and neighborhood explorer! Learn fascinating facts about beer styles, brewing traditions, and the unique stories behind the bars and landmarks you'll encounter.
• Digital Kneipenpass: Collect digital stamps at each stop as a memento of your beer journey.
• Final quiz & certificate: Earn your official Bierdiplom certificate & Kneipenpass by completing the final quiz.

How it Works:

1. Purchase your ticket: We recommend booking directly through our website (https://www.beerdiplom.com/) for seamless account setup. You can also purchase tickets here on Eventbrite, but you'll need to provide us with the email addresses, as well as first and last name of all participants so we can create your profiles manually. This ticket grants you access to the "Loop Landmark Lager Legends" pub crawl route.
2. Access the Bierdiplom web app: Once you have your ticket, visit our website and sign in to your profile using the login credentials to set up your account at our website or the login credentials provided in your confirmation email (be sure to check your spam folder!), if booked through Eventbrite. To activate your route, click on Dashboard -> Upcoming -> View Route.
3. Start your adventure: Head to the starting point (Franklin Tap) at your convenience. Indicated start time (2:30 PM) is a suggested start time to avoid the busiest crowds, but you can begin your exploration anytime. The web app will guide you to each stop, provide beer recommendations, and unlock fun challenges along the way.

Important reminder: Activate your route once you've reached the starting point. Once activated, the route cannot be paused, so make sure you're ready to embark on your beer adventure! You'll need to complete the route and conquer all the challenges before the countdown timer expires to earn your Bierdiplom!
