About our speaker, Don Whitney
Dr. Don Whitney is currently professor of Biblical spirituality and pastoral ministry at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO and served as professor of Biblical spirituality and associate dean at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.
He has authored Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life, How Can I Be Sure I'm a Christian?, Simplify Your Spiritual Life, Praying the Bible, and Family Worship among others.
SCHEDULE
- Friday from 6:00-7:15PM: Praying the Bible Part 1
- Friday from 7:25-8:15PM: Praying the Bible Part 2
- Saturday from 9:00-10:10AM: Meditation on Scripture
- Saturday from 10:25-11:35AM: Methods of Meditation on Scripture Part 1
- Saturday from 11:35AM-1:00PM: Lunch Break
- Saturday from 1:00-1:50PM: Methods of Meditation on Scripture Part 2
A meal will be available for purchase during the Saturday lunch break and is payable in person by cash, check, or scanning a QR code.
Childcare is available for twelve and under. A nursery will be staffed for the youngest children, and volunteers will teach Bible lessons and lead activities for the older children. Saturday lunch will be provided.
