Known for his powerful statements on human rights and social justice, Blanchard's career spans over 60 film scores, notably with Spike Lee projects, and two critically acclaimed operas, Fire Shut Up in My Bones and Champion, both of which earned Grammy awards for "Best Opera Recording." Recognized globally for his genre-defying work, Blanchard's music remains rooted in jazz, where his expressive compositions continue to inspire.
