Saeeda Wright is an accomplished American singer, songwriter, and musician hailing from Portland, Oregon. With over two decades of experience in the music industry, Saeeda has worked with some of the biggest names in the business, including Prince, Stevie Wonder, Lalah Hathaway, and many others.
Saeeda's musical journey began at a young age when she started singing in her church choir. She later went on to attend Clark Atlanta University University, where she studied vocal performance. In 2006, Saeeda joined the legendary band “Black Bird”, where she honed her craft and developed her signature soulful sound.
Saeeda is currently working to release her debut album which showcases her unique blend of soul, gospel, Jazz and R&B. Her powerful and emotive voice has earned her a loyal following of fans and garnered her accolades from critics and industry professionals alike.
In addition to her solo career, Saeeda has worked as a backup singer for numerous artists, including Prince, whom she toured with in 2015 when she recorded backgrounds on the single “Free Yourself”. She has also been featured on several recordings by other artists, including her work with Prince's protege Liv Warfield, on her smash sophomore album "The Unexpected".
Saeeda is known not only for her incredible musical talents but also for her commitment to social justice and community activism. She has worked with several organizations focused on empowering youth and promoting equality, including the Urban League of Portland and the Black United Fund of Oregon.
Today, Saeeda continues to inspire audiences with her powerful voice and unwavering dedication to making a positive impact in the world.
Alex Milsted
Alex Milsted is a Portland, Oregon based composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. His compositions are inspired by life's quieter moments, natural beauty, and spiritual introspection. Alex's unique combination of sensitivity and virtuosity makes him a special force in the music world. His recent musical collaborations include Brian Blade, Tim Lefebvre, The Talbott Brothers, Portland Cello Project, Haley Johnsen, and many more.
