BIA Basic ICWA Training for Tribes

This two-day training will be held April 9-10 and covers various crucial aspects of ICWA, including its historical context, the ongoing necessity of its provisions, the Child in Need of Aid (CINA) state court process, active efforts, placement preferences, intervention strategies, qualified expert witnesses, transfer of jurisdiction, and the exercise of Tribal sovereignty.

This training is open to anyone employed by a Tribe or Tribal Organization, or if you serve in an official capacity for a Tribe.

This training will be held at the ANJC offices at 2550 Denali St, Anchorage, AK 99508, in the 16th floor conference room.
