Horses often need to be transported, either in a horse box or trailer. Whether you are transporting a horse for veterinary care, to an event or elsewhere, it's essential to make sure you and the horse are safe at all times. The event will include:
Des Payne, British Horse Society and Jenkinsons (pre-travel checks and safety equipment)
National Trailer & Towing Association (legislation/training)
Nithcree Training (hitching up, unhitching, reversing, visibility and manoeuvring techniques)
Jane Ogilvie, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (large animal rescue)
SPARC and Police Scotland Traffic (crime prevention and road policing)
Alan Hiscox, British Horse Society (safety talk)
Jennifer Veitch, Jenkinsons.
Open to all.
Free event (tea/coffee will be provided).
