Bhoomija's Jackfruit - Jackfruit Songsters 2026

Into its second edition, Jackfruit Songsters brings together 150 school children from 23 schools across India for a truly extraordinary musical experience. Curated by Festival Director Shubha Mudgal and Aneesh Pradhan, the project invites some of India's most celebrated musicians (B Jayashree, Shubha Mudgal and Aneesh Pradhan, Rajib Das, Dhammrakshit Randive, Lata Kunjwal, Mohammad Muneem, Vasuki Vaibhav, Asinta Asur & Roshni Asur) to teach songs to the children, before joining them on stage for a spectacular performance. Rich, inclusive and deeply moving, Jackfruit Songsters celebrates the power of music to bring together children from diverse backgrounds in a shared act of creativity, learning and joy. Featuring songs in different Indian languages, Songsters celebrates diversity. The songs are joyful, accessible and meaningful, touching on themes that resonate with children while encouraging imagination, compassion and a sense of belonging.
