As many of you will know, in the latter part of 2024 we sadly lost Bhavik Kotian, or Bhav as he was better known.
Obviously, Bhav was a bartender here at Subside and a regular on the local rock/metal scene, not just here at Subside but at Uprawr, Scruffys & Flapper and was heavily into live music both big and small and a friend to many of you over the period he was here in Birmingham.
He was always smiling and was the heart and soul of many a party night out and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
As there was no burial or ceremony in the UK to mark his passing and grieve, with the blessing of his parents, we are holding a Bhav Memorial Night at Subside on Sunday April 6th, two days after what would have been his birthday.
We have three great local bands that will be playing on the night, Mystiek, Sig & The Fire Pilots and Vazon, a raffle for prizes, auctions for some great merchandise donated by Andy Copping who organises the annual Download Festival, free memorial posters available (though we ask for a donation to the charity) and a collection all in aid of the SOS Silence Of Suicide charity. Admission is free so you can donate as much as you are comfortable with.
