Bharatanatyam Workshop by Utthara Unni

Bharatanatyam virtuoso from India, Utthara Unni, will be leading a 2-day workshop for the first time in Prague!

This workshop will focus on the nuances of abhinaya through a composition on Goddess Madurai Meenakshi. It is open to complete beginners and intermediate dancers. High-quality audio will be provided to students.

••• About Utthara Unni •••

Utthara Unni is the founder and artistic director of Temple Steps Dance Academy in Kochi, Kerala. She is also a member of the UNESCO International Dance Council. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Bharatanatyam from Sastra University and a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Bharatanatyam from Tamil University. She has been featured in several stages across the world in countries like Greece, Thailand, Germany, France, and the UAE. She is currently receiving specialized training in Nattuvangam and Karanas.

Apart from being a dancer, Utthara is a passionate writer and an accomplished film-maker who has directed short films, documentaries, and music videos. She is also a film actress who works predominantly in Tamil and Malayalam films.
