Learn the foundations of the philosophy and practice of Bhakti Yoga with our one-month ashram residential course. In the association of devotees, you will experience firsthand what it means to become a Vaishnava, both internally and externally. The opportunity to spend your full time deeply understanding and serving Krishna forms the basis for the future of your devotional practice.Diving into the rich tradition of Gaudiya Vaishnavism, we will explore different facets of Krishna Consciousness in a modular way. This approach will enable you to practice wherever you are – inside or outside the ashram, whether as a student or a householder.
Our teachers, including devotees like Krishna Premarupa Prabhu, Govinda Prabhu, Bhakta Astor, and Bhakta Christian, bring a variety of expertise to the course, offering education in areas such as scriptural excellence, cooking, and Sanskrit. Their practical realizations will inspire and enrich your personal practice.
Living in the temple allows you to experience firsthand the powerful effects of Vaishnava sanga. Practicing bhakti yoga together turns spiritually challenging situations into opportunities for growth, while the friendships you develop can sustain you for life. After all, Krishna Consciousness is all about relationships. Ashram life is especially conducive to becoming more personal, both in your dealings with devotees and Krishna.
Another important aspect of the course is practical seva in the temple. You will not only gain insight into the many ways to serve Krishna but also engage regularly in activities to deepen your experience of pleasing Him.
The holistic approach of this course, based on the teachings of Śrīla Prabhupāda and the previous Acaryas, combined with the ideal facilities in the ashram, will make this an unforgettable experience for your entire life and beyond!
You will learn:
- Tradition and Roots: The Founder Acarya and ISKCON.
- Devotional Practice: Meditation, music, cooking and more; the elements of day to day lives as bhakti yoga practitioner.
- Philosophy: Understanding and applying the concepts of karma, reincarnation, time and so on, in daily life.
- Etiquette and Culture: Shaping one’s behaviour to advance quickly.
- Krishna: Getting to know God and to establish a viable relationship with him.
