About this Event
BFOL Liberation Lab Graduation
Come join us for the BFOL Liberation Lab Graduation, We are Policy — an exciting day celebrating all the hard work and achievements of our awesome Liberation Fellows.
Be a part of a night of transformation. Our Liberation Fellows completed 10 weeks of policy, advocacy, and organization training to generate policy proposals and campaigns that promote system's change that supports families. During the graduation the Fellows will pitch their campaigns to the community.
This in-person event is the perfect chance to connect, have fun, and cheer on the new wave of changemakers. Don’t miss out on the energy and inspiration flowing all around. See you there!
Black Families Organizing for Liberation (BFOL) is a coalition of Black parents and children in Illinois who have been directly impacted by the family policing system. We prioritize protecting, reuniting, and activating Black families by equipping them to use their voices and collective power to shrink harmful carceral systems and build communities of care. We support Black families through the use of parent leadership and activation, policy transformation, storytelling, political education, and system support.
