About this Event
This hands-on, free workshop is for researchers, graduate students, postdocs, and science communicators who want to explain their work more clearly — to funders, collaborators, journalists, family, or anyone who isn't in their field.
In two hours, you'll learn why expertise is hard to communicate (it's not your fault), map a real audience from your own work, and draft a clear explanation you can actually use. You'll leave with a method you can repeat every time you need to translate your work for a new room.
What to expect: — Hands-on activities, not a lecture — A take-home framework you can use again — Optional: professional headshot and on-camera practice — Free lunch provided — 25 spots only
