Workshop 2 - Beyond The Hype: How To Use XR and Emerging Technologies For Real-World Impact (Lunch provided)
There is a lot of hype around creative technologies. From VR headsets, to AR glasses, and the host of platforms set to transform how we live and work. So how do you apply these technologies for real-world impact now?
How do you cut through the noise? In this workshop, strategist and consultant Ian Ravenscroft (Founder, Green Raven) invites you to explore the technologies making a difference today outside of the CreaTech hype cycle.
Who should attend?
If you’re curious about CreaTech and how creative technologies can drive genuine innovation beyond all the hype then this workshop is for you. It will help you to gain clarity on which tools and trends are actually delivering results right now, and how to apply them meaningfully within your own projects or organisation.
Whether you work in the arts, digital media, education or business innovation, this is a chance to cut through the noise, connect with like-minded creatives and discover practical ways to harness CreaTech for real-world impact.
CreaTech Frontiers is a 5-year £7.2 million project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) establishing a West Midlands CreaTech ecosystem by funding collaborative R&D, supporting business innovation and developing skills and talent.
