Doug will take us beyond the trophies, touchdowns, and famous Hail Mary to share the story behind his greatest mission. Through stories from his career and his family’s own autism journey, guests will hear a personal perspective on fatherhood, advocacy, perseverance, and building a life of purpose beyond the field.
After his son, Doug Jr., was diagnosed with autism at age three, Doug and his wife, Laurie, turned their family’s experience into a mission, founding the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism in 1998.
Now, Doug is coming to Eastern North Carolina for a special evening benefiting Aces for Autism.
Together, we’ll celebrate the families at the heart of our mission and help build what comes next.
