About this Event
This FREE community workshop is for caregivers—current or future—and those they care for.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Assess non-paid, family caregiving demands.
- Identify gaps in care.
- Start to identify what’s urgent and important.
- Explore ways to share responsibilities and support those involved by leveraging strengths within their family and community. Whether planning for next week or next year, participants will leave with tools, strategies, and clarity to approach caregiving as a team, while avoiding assumptions and navigating challenges with confidence.
Who Should Attend
- Current Caregivers: Actively supporting loved ones—in person or remotely.
- Future Caregivers: Preparing to step into caregiving roles for aging parents, partners, or others—whether near or far.
- Care Receivers: Planning to age at home who want to ensure their preferences and needs are considered.
- Community Members: Friends, neighbors, or others who may play a role in caregiving support.
- End-of-Life / Death Doulas: Capture a well rounded picture of the scope of caregiving to best serve the individuals and families you support.
- Medical Social Workers, Hospice & Palliative Care Professionals: This workshop will provide additional tools you'll find valuable in your work to support patients and their families at times of high stress and uncertainty.We'd love to see people bring family members with them, friends or neighbors if possible. You are not alone in this journey.About the Workshop Leader:Laura CleminsonLaura brings a unique and relatable perspective to caregiving. As the founder of the Pre-Dead Social Club, an end-of-life doula, hospice volunteer, a member of the Health Care Decisions Coalition of New Hampshire, and a remote caregiver herself, Laura understands the challenges families face navigating aging, illness, and end-of-life care within a fragmented medical system and potential caregivers living in different zip codes or time zones. She is passionate about proactively having these tender caregiving conversations to realistically understand what’s involved, while expanding perceptions of who fills them. With her thoughtful humor, compassionate insights, and practical strategies, Laura supports others in finding clarity, connection, and a collaborative path forward.This program is made possible by the generous support of the .
