Beyond the Basics: Solo Jazz-Practicing Creativity

Creativity isn’t something that just happens to us, it’s a skill we can hone. This class is for anyone who likes solo jazz and isn’t afraid of exploring and taking chances.
Week 1 -Feb 17th: dancing inside the box--are limitation really limiting, or do they help us expand?

Week 2 -Feb 24th: dancing outside the box--Can we take what we know and apply it in difference circumstances?

Week 3 -March 3rd: Commit to the Bit --learning to trust yourself
Naomi Carmeli-Shabtay fell in love with swing dancing her first time in 2014 and hasn’t stopped since. Chicago is her home base now, and she’s traveled extensively around the Midwest and abroad dancing, competing, and DJing. Her dance experience includes most things under the swing umbrella: Lindy hop, balboa, charleston, shag, and blues. Naomi believes a good dance has just a few simple ingredients: moving to the music, having fun, and avoiding injuries.
