Beyond the Basics: 6-Count, 8-Count, Great-Count Lindy Hop

Join Sam and Desiree for this 4 week series on mixing 6 and 8 count swing dance!

Norma Miller, one of our dance elders, is quoted as saying “the only count I know is Count Basie.” In this class, we’re going to take your lindy hop to the next level by not only covering new dance vocabulary, but giving you tips and tricks to hearing what’s happening in the music so that you can transition through different movements with ease!

You should be familiar with both 6-count swing and 8-count Lindy Hop/swing outs to get the most out of this class.
