- Recognize common signs of postpartum depression and distinguish them from the typical “baby blues.”
- Identify risk factors and warning signs requiring immediate intervention.
- Apply appropriate screening, assessment, and referral strategies.
- Recognize the impact of postpartum depression on mothers, infants, partners, and families.
- Develop appropriate intervention and referral strategies, including when to involve medical or psychiatric providers.
Audience: This training is appropriate for social workers, youth workers, child advocates, CPS, attorneys, judges, teachers, law enforcement, the public, parents, or other organizations.
