"Beyond Loss" is a supportive space dedicated to individuals navigating the complexities of grief and loss. This group offers a structured environment where participants can explore various aspects of their grief journey, share experiences, and learn coping strategies to navigate life after loss. Through facilitated discussions, interactive activities, and shared storytelling, members will find solace, understanding, and support as they embark on the path towards healing.Goals:
To provide a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to express their feelings and experiences related to grief and loss.
To explore the stages of grief and understand the emotional, physical, and psychological impact of loss.
To learn and practice coping skills and self-care techniques to navigate the challenges of grief.
To share and honor the memories of loved ones through storytelling and remembrance activities.
To identify and cultivate support systems within the group and beyond, fostering a sense of community and connection.
Structure:
Schedule: The group will meet weekly on Mondays at 7:00 PM.
Format: Sessions will include a combination of facilitated discussions, psychoeducation on grief-related topics, interactive exercises, and group sharing.
Topics: Each session will focus on a specific aspect of the grief journey, such as understanding the stages of grief, exploring coping strategies, sharing memories of loved ones, and building support networks.
Facilitator: The group will be led by a trained facilitator with expertise in grief counseling and support group facilitation, Veronica Torres.
