Beyond Classical presented by Instrumental Society of Calgary

This double bill is for the curious and creative! Genre lines are blurred as a multitude of influences are brought into the Classical and Jazz worlds. Nate Waters presents contemporary music for saxophone influenced by folk, jazz, electronic, and other idioms, followed by the Augustine Yates Trio, whose music brings the influence of Classical composers like Ravel and Shostakovich into the world of jazz.
