Explore identity, place and belonging through collage and conversation in a welcoming and inclusive creative space.
About this Event

Join us for a monthly women-only creative space where we come together to explore themes of identity, place, safety and belonging through collage and conversation.

Whether you're a collage enthusiast or have never collaged before, this workshop is open to anyone looking for a welcoming space to reflect, create and connect. Using images, words, colours and textures, we'll explore personal and collective experiences in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Each session will have a loose theme to offer opportunities for discussion, while leaving plenty of room for your own creativity and interpretation. There is no right or wrong way to participate. You're welcome to share, listen, create quietly or simply spend time in the company of others.

All materials will be provided, and no previous artistic experience is needed. Open to all women or anyone who identifies with the experience of being a woman.

What to expect:

  • A welcoming women-only space
  • Creative collage-making materials (but feel free to bring your own!)
  • Guided conversations around themes related to place and identity
  • Opportunities to connect with others in a supportive environment
  • Tea and refreshments

This workshop is open to all women seeking space for creativity, reflection and community. Come ready to create and leave with a unique piece of artwork and new connections.

About The Bridge

The Bridge is a women’s health and wellbeing charity based in Southwark working to create inclusive and welcoming spaces for women of all identities to connect and thrive for over 90 years. We believe in a fairer society where women’s voices are heard and their health and wellbeing are valued and respected. Through our women-only gym, community café, wellbeing programmes and support groups, we help women care for themselves, support one another and challenge injustices together.

How to contribute

At The Bridge, we’re all about working together and building meaningful partnerships with the women in our community. We believe that everyone has something valuable to offer, and that means everyone has a role in shaping our work—because The Bridge belongs to all of us. We celebrate each person’s unique strengths and contributions, creating opportunities for everyone to get involved in a way that feels right for them.

Whether you give your time, skills, or financial support, every contribution means we’re working together to make The Bridge the space we want it to be.

One way to support our work is through our pay-what-you-can model, which ensures that our activities and events are accessible to all while allowing space for contributions to go towards helping us sustain what we do. Whatever you choose to give, it all makes a difference.

Want to get involved and contribute in other ways? We’d love to hear from you!
