About:
Zibby Owens is the bestselling author and editor of seven books including Between Chapters: How I Started Over, Took Some Chances, and Found the Plot, Blank: A Novel, Bookends: A Memoir of Love, Loss, and Literature, and On Being Jewish Now: Reflections from Authors and Advocates, which has spent 29 weeks on the USA Today bestseller list. Zibby has interviewed more than 2,000 authors on her award-winning podcast Totally Booked with Zibby and weekly TV show Totally Booked on JBS. In 2021 she founded Zibby Media with the launch of boutique publishing house Zibby Publishing and unique year-round hosted retreats and events for book lovers. In 2023, she opened indie bookstore Zibby's Bookshop in Santa Monica, CA. A frequent speaker (repped by UTA), moderator, and broadcast guest, Zibby, dubbed "NYC's Most Powerful Book-fluencer" (Vulture) is known for highlighting the book industry’s most anticipated new releases and emerging authors in "the Zibby-verse" (L.A. Times).
Annabeth Gish is a seasoned dramatic actress whose career spans four decades and virtually every corner of the American film and television landscape, and whose work has only deepened with time.
She first came to wide attention with her performance in Mystic Pizza, the 1988 film that announced her generation of talent and remains a touchstone of American independent cinema. From there, she built one of the most consistent and respected bodies of work in the industry, with roles on The Bridge opposite Demián Bichir for FX, Sons of Anarchy for FX, Halt and Catch Fire for AMC, and Chicago Fire for NBC, well-respected dramas that have showcased her remarkable range and longevity.
In recent years, Gish has become a fixture in premium television. She recurred in The Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass for Netflix, both from Mike Flanagan, and appeared in The Fall of the House of Usher. She also appears in Succession for HBO, Lioness for Paramount+, Mayfair Witches for AMC, Barry, and recurred in Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin for Max. She will next be seen as a major recurring guest star in the final season of The Night Agent for Netflix, appearing opposite Titus Welliver, Colin Hanks, and Abigail Breslin. On the feature side, she appears in All Fun and Games, a thriller executive produced by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo.
Friends of the Palisades Library
A nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the Palisades Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library and the community it serves.
