Better than Balance : Building Capacity and Range
About this Event
ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
I've been coaching women and moms for six-plus years. Every single intake form has the word "balance" in it somewhere. We're all told there's a way to have the career, the marriage, the kids, the calm and not lose ourselves in the process. We're told we don't have to choose.
And yet no one really teaches you HOW to hold and manage it all- the daily, hour-by-hour skill of moving between that many roles, that many people, with many competing needs, without running on autopilot or burning the whole thing or yourself down.
Here's what I've learned working with stay-at-home moms whose motherhood is the whole job, women in the C-suite, entrepreneurs making six and seven figures, and everyone in the messy middle who doesn't feel fully successful anywhere because something is always starving for more of her attention: none of them found balance. They found something better- a deep, trained trust in their own dynamic aliveness.
This workshop is where I teach you and help you build that skill. This goes beyond yes and no boundaries to where you trust yourself to know how and when to break the rules with skill.
This is not a beginner room. This is the room where you stop micro-managing yourself from a blueprint and start practicing the actual, physical, in-the-moment skill of knowing: is this a gas day or a brakes day? Do I apply pressure here or do I leave myself the hell alone and go read a book? When do I say "fuck it" and quit and when do I prepare to die on this hill? When do I break my own rules and boundaries- and when do I let resistance show me where my ambitioun has outgrown my capacity.
That's what being fully alive actually looks like. Not cruise control. Not smooth and easy. Some days it's losing yourself completely in work you love. Some days it's doing nothing but sitting with your kid. Some days it's making a decision — like homeschooling, or leaving a client, or expanding the business, or pulling back the business to priotizite home of healing, or blowing up your own schedule — that you know will destabilize everything, and choosing it anyway because it's true to the season you're actually in, not the one a stranger's blueprint assumed you'd be in.
You'll leave this room with real, practiced range: knowing your own gas and your own brakes.
WHAT YOU'LL WALK AWAY WITH
- A trained, in-your-body sense of when to hit the gas and when to hit the brakes- practiced live, not just explained
- The literal skill of noticing your own "fuck it" moments and trusting them instead of overriding them
- A room full of other high-capacity women who will tell you the truth about what it costs to hold everything, without either of you needing to perform "fine"
- A concrete answer to what your current season is actually asking of you- more gas, more brakes, or a full pivot
- Permission and practice, in equal measure, to stop micromanaging the joy and whimsy out of a life you built on purpose
WHO THIS IS FOR
You'll feel at home in this room if you're a:
- Therapist, coach, or other mental health practitioner
- Business owner, founder, or consultant
- Leader, executive, or anyone whose job is to help other people make hard calls and trust their own judgment
- Women who are leaders- the ones who everyone else comes to.
...and you're ambitious about more than "work" - you are also highly ambitious about your relationships, your community, your whole life and you're done being sold a "balanced," cruise-control version of success that was never actually what you wanted.
THIS IS NOT FOR YOU IF:
- You want a quick easy answer to a complex question and skill
- You want a blueprint or a framework to follow to the letter instead of building your own internal skill
- You are wanting an easy button or a solution versus being willing to expand and sharpen your edges while creating a "safe-enough" life
