Join us May 22 at the Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre for Better is Peace — a powerful collaboration with Nepean Choir, Nepean High School Choir, and the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra. We’re thrilled to welcome back bass Matthew Li and mezzo-soprano Gabrielle Comeau-Gort.✨ The program includes:
• The Listeners by Pulitzer Prize–winning composer Caroline Shaw, inspired by Carl Sagan’s Golden Record sent into space on the NASA Voyager probes.
• The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace by Karl Jenkins, a moving millennium commission reflecting on war and hope for peace.
• Omaa Biindig by Andrew Balfour, part of the JUNO-nominated NAGAMO project, blending Indigenous spirituality with Western choral traditions.
An unforgettable evening of reflection, collaboration, and hope. 🎶
