About this Event

Former police officer, turned best-selling crime author, Clare Mackintosh returns to Liverpool, after her sold-out event in 2021, to close our Festival.

Her books have sold more than three million copies, been optioned for television and translated into 40 languages, and her debut novel I Let You Go was a Richard & Judy Book Club pick and in 2016 won the Theakston’s Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year.

Her other novels, including I See You, Let Me Lie and After the End, have also received critical acclaim.

She will be discussing her latest offering It’s Not What You Think with Dr Matthew Bradley of the University’s Department of English.

All passes will include reserved seating in the lecture theatre, plus a host of other exclusive VIP benefits. Please note, the weekend pass does not include the launch event with Roger McGough on Friday 16th October.

There are a number of FREE University of Liverpool student tickets at all festival events. Students who sign up to receive their free ticket will need to show their student ID when they arrive at the venue.
