Best Short Film Children's Award

ABOUT THE EVENT

Organized by the French Film Festival Atlanta in partnership with the Alliance Française Atlanta, get ready to be part of the French Film Festival Atlanta’s Children’s Jury!

Kids ages 10-12 are invited to watch and judge a selection of short Francophone films, each filled with creativity, fun, and powerful stories (movies are in French with English Subtitles).

As a jury member, you’ll use your fresh perspective to choose the film that deserves the Children’s Award. Whether it’s a funny animation, an exciting adventure, or a touching tale, your opinion counts. This is a unique chance to help pick the best short film for kids and celebrate Francophone cinema.

The movie receiving the Children Award will be screened at the French Film Festival ATL on April 5th, 2025 at the Tara Theater. For more details about the Festival, click HERE.

Before the screenings enjoy complementary (vegan, GF, movie theater butter-like flavor!).

MANDATORY

- Each children must be accompanied by a responsible adult guardian (more than 21 years old) or a parent.

- No more than 2 children per adult.

- Guardians and parents must stay physically present for the duration of the event. No child can be left without the guardian or parent supervision.

WHAT TO EXPECT

10:30am : Doors open. Grab some snacks and refreshments in the kitchen.

10:45am : In the Alliance Française ATL's auditorium, we'll explain how we'll proceed to judge each movie. We'll start screening the pre-selected short movies (about 6 of them at this time) and chat in between each of them.

12pm : You'll vote for the Best Children Movie Award! And then, we'll have to keep it a secret until April 5th! :)

REGISTRATION is mandatory for all children and adults.

The Alliance Française Atlanta (and its auditorium) is on the PLAZA LEVEL. Please, study the map below to find the parking garage and the auditorium.

Unfortunately, there's NO parking validation available for this free event.

Park on Level 2 of the International Parking Garage, across the street from Tin Lizzy's restaurant.

For GPS, use restaurant's address 26 Andrew Young International Blvd NE, Atlanta, GA 30303. The parking entrance (LEFT) is directly across the street from Tin Lizzy's (RIGHT).

To access the Plaza Level, use the alleyway next to the restaurant. Continue straight towards tower 233, passing the fountain on your left. Once in front of the 233 tower lobby, the auditorium's entrance is on your right.
