The Interstate Batteries Best of Detroit and Gold Cup event returns Sun., May 5. Gates will open: 8 am, racing at noon.Detroit categories include the: Chevy Cup, Ford Cup, Mopar Cup and the Buick-Olds-Pontiac (BOP) Cup.
The second day of the double header weekend of racing will also offer racing in the Boise Muffler Gold Cup Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts in Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, Sled/Bike, and Jr. Dragster. Sunday will also feature the first points earning stop in the NHRA Division 6 Land of the Leaders Challenge (other dates: June 15; July 20; Sept. 14).
The overall four Detroit champions will compete in a special runoff for the "King of the Spring" title.
