Best EV Events in India: ETAuto EV Conclave scheduled for December is set to convene industry leaders policymakers innovators and stakeholders. This event will focus on advancing EV technology expanding infrastructure shaping policy frameworks and navigating market trends to achieve India's ambitious EV adoption targets by 2030.

During COP26 India set ambitious targets for 2030 to decarbonize its energy sector by reducing carbon emissions by 50% and achieving 500 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity. India also committed to the EV30@30 campaign aiming for electric vehicles (EVs) to constitute at least 30% of new vehicle sales by 2030 with plans to triple its current renewable energy capacity to support these goals.

Despite challenges such as reduced subsidies and incentives electric cars accounted for only 1.3% of total car sales in 2022 with 49800 EVs sold out of 3.8 million passenger vehicles. However optimism prevails among automakers and related sectors regarding the future of EV adoption with significant investments in research development and production of EVs and components.

The Indian EV market valued at US$2 billion in 2023 is projected to grow substantially to US$7.09 billion by 2025. Industry forecasts predict annual EV sales could reach 10 million units by 2030 driven by expanding infrastructure and increasing consumer acceptance.
