Berwick Lodge Turkey-Syria Earthquake Charity Fundraiser Dinner & Raffle

I am sure you have all seen the desperate and appalling situation in Turkey and Syria. This disaster sits very close to home, due to our family's links to Turkey. Thankfully our family have not been affected directly, but many friends and associates have been, and our hearts go out to absolutely everyone impacted by this awful tragedy.

We could not bear to sit by and carry on with everyday life. So, we have decided to close the hotel on the evening of Monday 6th March and host a fundraising event and raffle, in solidarity with everyone affected. 100% of the proceeds will be sent to the British Red Cross appeal.

Local suppliers are supporting both the event and raffle, and we couldn’t be more thankful for their generosity. We have been genuinely humbled by the overwhelming amount of support we’ve received and everyone’s willingness to jump on board. We always talk about the ‘Berwick Family’, but this feels like the ‘Bristol Family’ is coming together – it makes me feel emotional about how wonderful and resilient people can be when times get tough.

We would like to make an extra special mention to Steve and Maggie Lansdown (of Hargreaves Lansdown and a Bristol Sports founder) – true Bristol Champions! Their generosity and kindness mean that any funds raised, will be matched! We’d love to raise £7,500, so the overall goal will now stand at £15,000! A massive and sincere thank you to them both.

We are hoping that this generosity will be infectious and we implore you to help in any way you can. Please spread the word to family, friends and colleagues. We appreciate times are tough, so if you aren’t able to attend the event, then please do consider purchasing a raffle ticket. Tickets are coming soon and you’ll be able to participate without attending the event.
