Today, few people are familiar with the name and work of Berthe Morisot, one of the founding members of the artists collective known as the Impressionists. Yet Morisot not only exhibited in more Impressionist shows than such famous friends as Monet, Renoir, and Degas, but was lauded by many critics in her time as the most talented in the group and even considered the movement’s leader.
Join us for the opening program of “Monet to Matisse: French Moderns” with Dr. Nicole Myers, Chief Curatorial and Research Officer and the Barbara Thomas Lemmon Senior Curator, Dallas Museum of Art, as she explores the innovations that made Morisot the best Impressionist you’ve never heard of.

?️ Ticket includes museum admission.
