Berlin Spoken Word 10 Year Anniversary Show

Berlin Spoken Word has been your weekly open mic for 10 years this December, and we want to celebrate! That's 10 years running with no governement funding; 508 weeks of perfomances held together by our enthusiastically willing and often exhausted volunteer organisers!

`Been coming for the full decade? Never been once? Somewhere in between? You're invited! This is an open space.

What can you expect? That's a great question! On 20 Nov 2025, at our usual weekly open mic, we will have an open plenum to anyone in the community who wants to pitch ideas of what they'd like to see included in our celebration. Regardless, you can definitely expect some fantastic performances, moments of reflection, and community appreciation for 10 years of a weekly open mic.

Cost: `In order to cover some special surprises for the audience, we have several options for donations. If you cannot afford the soli price, please write to us @berlinspokenword on Instagram! We will find a way for you to join us, regardless.

Regular tickets 15 euro

Supporter tickets 20 euro

This money will go towards future running events, and paying feature performers.

This is an event for all languages (hosted in English) we accept all forms of performance, poetry, music, story-telling, film scripts, fever dreams. What can't you do?
Performances must be under 5 minutes, and we tolerate no hate speech, bigotry, transphobia, islamophobia, anti-semitism or any other kind of prejudice or intolerance on our stage or in our space.
