About this Event
After lots of anticipation, we come to you with an exciting update and have created organised our next grand conference: Bereavement & Mental Well-Being Conference (Post Covid-19)!
It will be held on Friday 29th November 2024 in the 'Dragon Suite' of The Angel Hotel, Castle Street, Cardiff, CF10 1SZ.
We will aim to encapsulate the key points and outcomes, while reconnecting, from our last conference held, with new added members of the community, largely focusing on existing issues within the Bereavement sector. One of the big topics in the agenda is to receive updates following our previous conference, and diving into what it means to struggle with one's mental well-being, especially within the workplace, and how Covid-19 has affected how we operate and deal with Mental Health.
This event promises to cover a wide array of mental health research topics, provide a safe space for sharing experiences, innovative coping strategies, and will feature exciting panel speakers, including, but not limited to,:
- Senior Coroner of Cardiff & The Vale, Graeme Hughes
- Lead Medical Examiner, Dr Jason Shannon
- CEO of SAIF (Society of Allied Independent Funeral Directors), Terry Tennens
- Operational Manager of Cardiff & The Vale’s Bereavement Services, Martin Birch
- Member of Senedd and Chairman of the Cross Party Group for Funerals & Bereavement, Mark Isherwood MS
- and many more
With a focus on areas surrounding bereavement and mental well-being, the conference aims to foster a multidisciplinary dialogue and share cutting-edge insights. It is an opportunity for a diverse range of attendees to learn, engage, speak out and contribute to the next steps we'd all like to achieve surrounding mental well-being. Additionally, events and conferences like this are an opportunity to network, gain new skills, and find inspiration through a variety of mental health situations and key speakers. These conferences are pivotal in fostering a deeper understanding and advancing the field of mental health, finding solace in the collective understanding of the challenges faced during bereavement.
With light refreshments to accompany, you don't want to miss out on this conference!
