PLEASE NOTE: Why pick this class & what makes it different?
- You won’t spend your time waiting for cakes to bake or cool — everything’s ready for you, so you can dive straight into the fun part: decorating, experimenting with buttercream, and learning professional tips from the start.
- This is a group booking, not 1-2-1 however there will only be 6 people per a class. You are able to still get the 1-2-1 help without feeling the pressure or stress of being in a very large class! It is beginner friendly and the cakes shown are from a previous class where the attendees were complete beginners with little to no experience!
- I have baked for as long as I can remember! You will get a class taught by someone who has had (a minimum of) over 10 years of cake & decorating experience.
- The size of the cake: whilst it is a 4 inch mini cake, I would say the layers are thicker than the traditional 'bento' (lunch box) cakes, it is the reason why it is offered in a clear premium gift box rather than a lunch box!
- Speciality coffee & matcha: on top of the many years of cake experience, I have also worked as a barista ( * some people may not count it as experience as I worked at a mainstream coffee shop! However I have done my own research and learnt a lot outside of my barista role to!) Using speciality freshly roasted coffee beans and making some of my own sauces (such as the 'baklava latte')- this also does apply to matcha, I have taken the time out to understand how matcha is made using the traditional method (such as the correct boiled temperature of water, the grade of matcha).
- The Bake-break! You will get to experience an afternoon tea styled class! Whilst enjoying your coffee or matcha, you will be able to enjoy a range of bakes which are all made in house, no box mixes and no wholesale bakes here! I make everything from scratch using my years of experience! The bakes offered will change for each class!
- This isn’t a classroom — it’s a cosy, social experience. Enjoy tea, coffee, and homemade bakes while you decorate. Perfect for friends, colleagues, or a solo self-care afternoon.
- The whole setup — from the pastel colours to the bento boxes — is curated for photos. In a workspace created for all things cake! The Cakery being one of few classes thats hosted in a permanent workspace - every tool, surface, and detail is where it should be. It gives the class a “real bakery” feel — a behind-the-scenes experience guests can’t get elsewhere. Professional-quality workspace = professional-quality results. It’s a studio, classroom, and content space all in one — a creative hub.
- You’re welcome to snap your creation (just no photos of other guests without permission).
