El Ritmo is heading back to Bent River Brewing Company in Rock Island for another round of Bent River Bailando! We’re trading the ballroom for the brewery and bringing the dance floor with us.
Whether you’re a seasoned salsero, brand new to Latin dancing, or just looking for something different to do, come grab a drink, learn some moves, meet some people, and see what happens when Latin beats meet brewery vibes.
📍 IMPORTANT: There are TWO Bent River locations!
We’ll be at Bent River Brewing Company in ROCK ISLAND. Double-check that GPS before you accidentally start your own dance party at the wrong Bent River. 😂

🕖 7:00–8:00 PM — Beginner-Friendly Latin Dance Lesson
Never danced before? Perfect. No experience and no partner necessary. We’ll get everybody moving before the social begins!
🕗 8:00–11:00 PM — SOCIAL DANCING
The brewery becomes our dance floor with a mix of:
🔥 Salsa
🔥 Bachata
🔥 Cumbia
🔥 Merengue
🔥 Reggaeton
…and whatever else keeps the room moving.
🕚 11:01 PM — The music stops.
Your night? That's between you and your questionable late-night decisions. 😏

👯 Do I need a partner?
Not at all! El Ritmo is about connection and community. People rotate partners throughout the night, so come solo, bring a friend, bring a date, or bring the whole crew.
👟 What should I wear?
Comfort is king! Wear clothes that you feel good in and can move freely in. You definitely don’t need to dress fancy.
For shoes, we recommend something comfortable with a smooth or low-tread sole that lets you turn and pivot easily. Shoes with lots of grip or heavy tread can make dancing more difficult (and your knees may have some opinions about it 😅). Dance shoes are great if you have them, but absolutely not required.
Bottom line: comfortable clothes + shoes you can move and turn in = you're ready to dance.
🍺 What about drinks?
We ARE taking over a brewery, after all. Bent River will have its selection of craft beer and other drinks available for purchase at the bar. Please support our hosts and take care of your bartenders!
🌮 Will there be food?
Stay tuned! We’re working on the food situation for this year and will update the event as soon as the details are confirmed.

$15 admission at the door. Cash or Venmo.
