On September 27, 2022 whiIe investigating a violent overdose causing death suspect, Detective Sergeant Devin Kachar was performing an undercover surveillance operation in the city of Detroit, Michigan, at approximately 1:30 a.m. and was shot three times out of a 2nd story apartment window. He sustained multiple injuries, with the most severe being to his spine. One of the bullets transected a portion of his spinal cord at T-11 and he was diagnosed with thoracic spinal cord injury resulting in paraplegia on September 30, 2022.Due to his unforeseen injury, Devin and his wife Danielle are unfortunately facing numerous challenges and a large financial burden. The proceeds from this benefit will all go directly to Devin and Danielle to help offset the large expenses that they are incurring from this incident.
