Benefit for Melissa Wilson-Minear

Our fighter: Melissa Wilson-Minear is a beloved friend who is courageously batting breast cancer while raising her two young sons, Mason (14) and Vincent (9). Melissa was diagnosed with Stage 2 Triple Positive breast cancer in May 2024. Since then she has had a lumpectomy, undergone six rounds of chemotherapy and HER2 targeted therapy. She will be starting daily radiation in February in addition to the HER2 targeted therapy that will continue through October 2025. This treatment will be followed by hormone therapy for at least 5 years.

Her strength and determination are truly inspiring, however this journey has placed and will continue to place a significant emotional and financial burden on her family. As you can imagine, medical expenses, treatments and daily living costs add up quickly, adding extra stress at a time when Melissa needs to focus on healing and her boys.

As a dedicated special education teacher, Melissa has spent over 20 years working to provide support for students with special and unique learning needs. She has gone above and beyond ensuring that students have tools to be successful. Melissa has always been a source of light, patience, and kindness to those around her and now is our opportunity to rally around her and her family. In joining Melissa’s Fight Club, we can make a meaningful difference and let her know that she is not in this fight alone.
