Doors open at 7:30 am, workout at 8:00am-9:00am. Following the workout there will be a raffle drawing, carnival games, bake sale and more from 9am to 12pm to help raise money for this amazing boy and his family

The friends and family of Hayden Shelton have come together to hold a benefit that will help raise money to support Hayden and his family.
Hayden is a very special little boy with a very serious illness and has gone through more in his short life than most people will ever have to face. Hayden was welcomed into this world on September 11, 2022, via c-section and the doctors immediately noticed some abnormal twitches. Hayden was taken to the NICU, and their lives would be forever changed. The twitches turned out to be seizures, so genetic testing was done and revealed a gene mutation diagnosis of GABRB2. Hayden spent the first 34 days of his life in the NICUs at Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee and St. Vincent’s in Green Bay where countless tests including multiple EEGs were done. Afeeding tube was placed before Hayden was finally sent home to meet the rest of his family and friends.
Despite his devastating diagnosis, Hayden’s parents have taken him on countless adventures, including Packers practices, tailgating, the Packers vs. Patriots game, a Brewers vs. Cubs game (where Dad likes to think Hayden was cheering for his Cubs, but was actuallyrooting for Mom’s Brewers), and even Las Vegas to celebrate his Bisnonna’s 92nd birthday – all between trips to doctors in Green Bay and Milwaukee and his weekly therapy appointments. In February of this year, Hayden was diagnosed with RSV and spent 9 days in the hospital. Two short weeks later, Hayden wasn’t himself again, so he was rushed to the hospital and the doctors discovered that Hayden was suffering from Bi-lateral pneumonia and underlying RSV which was causing mucus plugs in his lungs.Hayden’s Dad Carl said, “the inevitable was here, Tanya and I had known since the early days in the NICU that Hayden’s Gene Mutation was incurable epilepsy. GABRB2 is an extremely rare form of seizures that Hayden will never grow out of and won’t allow him to live a ‘normal’ life. That next night was the hardest for us in the hospital, the doctor told us to call our families as a precaution in case Hayden wouldn’t make it through the night. From the early days in the NICU we were scared to inform our families of the true severity of Hayden’s Gene Mutation. We wanted to protect him and them, we didn’t want anyone to act or look at him differently. Hayden had other plans and decided that he wasn’t done fighting yet; he made it through the night and started to respond to all of his new therapies that were helping clear out the mucus plugs and fight off the pneumonia & RSV. After 11 more days in the hospital Hayden was sent home to continue spending time with friends, family and continue his many adventures. Hayden’s gene mutation has presented many challenges at times but it will not prevent us from creating memories and sharing him with the world!”
