Join us for a rejuvenating and practical workshop tailored specifically for gardening enthusiasts! "Yoga for Gardeners" combines the art of yoga with ergonomic techniques designed to keep you flexible, strong, and pain-free while tending to your garden. In this workshop you'll learn:
- **Yoga Poses for Gardeners:** Discover a series of yoga poses that target common areas of tension and strain caused by gardening. These poses will help you increase flexibility, strengthen muscles, and improve overall body alignment.
- **Ergonomic Gardening Techniques:** Gain valuable insights into how to use your body efficiently and safely while gardening. Learn the best practices for lifting, bending, and working close to the ground to prevent injuries and promote long-term health.
- **Mindfulness and Breathing Exercises:** Incorporate mindfulness and breathing techniques into your gardening routine to reduce stress and enhance your connection with nature.
As a special bonus, every participant will receive a plant from to take home and nurture in their own garden, serving as a lasting reminder of the workshop and your commitment to both personal well-being and gardening passion. Plants will be provided by Bend Urban Gardens. Plant options are subject to change but may include chard, kale, leaf broccoli, heat tolerant lettuce, Komatsuna (a more heat tolerant Asian green), or scallion/bunching onions. Additional plants will be available for purchase ($4-6) if desired.
Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just starting out, this workshop is perfect for anyone looking to blend their love for gardening with the benefits of yoga. Bring your mat, your enthusiasm, and be ready to cultivate both your garden and your well-being!

MEET YOUR HOST & YOGA TEACHER, LAUREN DAVEY:

Lauren has been a full time energy worker, sound healer, yoga and meditation teacher for the last decade. She is known for curating special experiences that exceed your expectations. With over 1300+ hours of Yoga Teacher Training, she is dedicated to continuous education and expansion of her personal practice and teachings. Besides her yogic education, Lauren was trained in classical music and grew up playing string instruments like violin and cello then learned to play other healing instruments after personally experiencing their profound benefits. Lauren is clairsentient, meaning she can intuitively connect with the spiritual or energetic realm through sensations and vibrations. She has refined and developed this tool with medium mentorship, 3 levels of Holy Fire Reiki Training, and Mia Magic's Witch School. When she's not in studio, she's probably enjoying time with her husband, daughter, and dog in Central Oregon's great outdoors.
