Bend: Functional Breathing for Parkinson's (In-Person)
About this Event
Did you know that how humans breathe impacts every aspect of life: balance, posture, emotional regulation, digestion, and voice?
Please join Dr. Andy Sabatier, PT, DPT of Academy West Breathing Performance for a special introductory event exploring how breathing mechanics and diaphragm function play an important role in movement and daily function for individuals living with Parkinson's. Participants will learn the difference between functional and dysfunctional breathing, practical movement strategies, and simple techniques designed to support improved breathing efficiency and body awareness.
We'll also leave plenty of time for questions and exploration. This live educational event will help you understand the most important movement a human performs 20,000 times each day and night. Go beyond "just breathe" to learn about Breathing Performance.
